Assignment 10 - Collage

The idea behind the collage for my Brooklyn site impression was that being near the water and park. The is very open because of how open it was, this allowed for more light on the site. Which is why i placed an image of the sun glare. Another aspect of the site is that it's across from the water, you see Manhattan, you get a beautiful view of the the many buildings that it offers. I saw that as like seeing a monumental view and i tried to portray that as seeing a grand mountain across a body of water. Some other aspects i saw at the site was the amount of ways you can get to the site whether it be through train, bike, ferry, walking or car. I saw that as an intersection for anyone to come to the site. The ants represents a gathering which the site has a lot of. There is the Brooklyn Bridge park which a lot of people gather to, to do activities. Being near the water and the park there is a nice sense of smell in the area. The area had a large diversity of plants and because of that they contribute to the smell of the area. As well as the water, which provides a nice breeze to further that sense.

When i thought of edge, these were the 4 images i came up with. Edge to me was the end of something, as well is the beginning of something else. I thought of an edge as a waypoint, as well as an effect. The explosion represents a person on the edge and how if you were to invoke a person the "edge" he would explode. The cliff and the boardwalk acts as waypoints where you want to go toward. The mountains on the top right represents how the edges of biomes starts and edge to become something else. 

The collage for my program were all based on what i wanted in my building spaces.

I wanted a showroom, an archival museum, a runway, workshop and a stores space.

They're based on the creative process of designs and workmanship.
